The role of a Regional Director at IG Wealth Management is a truly unique opportunity to run a geographic region as your own business with full network support and the ability to leverage resources from a corporate infrastructure.  The Regional Director works as part of the National Distribution Leadership Team to manage and provide strategic direction on all aspects of their IG Wealth Management region office.  As the first line contact with the Financial Advisor network; you are responsible for long-term growth and productivity of each Advisor within the regional office as well as playing a critical role in talent acquisition to build and strengthen your team of Advisors. The Regional Director’s direction, operations, and activities have a significant influence on the success of the region office overall and are expected to align with corporate guidelines and mandates. With the support of Head Office and Senior Distribution Leadership, the Regional Director assists their Management Team (Division Directors) and Financial Advisors to meet performance standards while abiding by industry and corporate compliance regulations, acting both ethically and most importantly in the client’s best interests.  The ideal candidate for this role has strong sales leadership acumen, financial industry experience and proven success as a trailblazer, attractor and business-driver.  The Regional Director reports directly to the Senior Vice-President, Financial Services.

   Selection Criteria/Qualifications:

  • University degree in a relevant field
  • Previous Management experience (preferably in managing large teams)
  • 5+ years’ experience within the financial services or a related industry
  • CFP designation (or on track to earning a CFP)
  • Branch Managers certification preferred
  • Financial Services Designations preferred (CLU, CFA, CA, CMA etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal & presentation)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Entrepreneurial drive and ambition
  • Proven track record as a sales leader
  • Proven strategic planning/business planning ability
